Last May, a collaboration agreement was signed with the MUCBO that allows knowledge to be combined for the recovery of local varieties, with the aim of achieving satisfactory results in terms of training and production. For this purpose, the following actions can be carried out:
1) Organize courses and workshops for the promotion and conservation of the local varieties of the Balearic Islands.
2) Share knowledge about the local varieties of the Balearic Islands.
3) Promote a network of entities and people who work with local varieties of the Balearic Islands.
4) Disseminate and publicize the work of the two entities.
5) Establish advantages for partners and members of the 2 entities.
6) And all those actions that the parties consider of interest to develop this agreement.
This July we signed an agreement with Estel de Llevant, an entity that we have collaborated with for years, but this agreement is to take the UIB sweet oak nursery project to the facilities of the nursery Estel de Levant, in Manacor.
Through this agreement, a general framework of collaboration between the entities is established that allows knowledge on the multiplication of local sweet garlic oak varieties to be combined, obtaining satisfactory results in terms of production and training.
