Last week we visited the seed multipliers, which have summer crops in the field, such as tomato plants, pepper trees and other crops. In addition, some still have winter crops, which are just ripening the seed, such as onions or lettuce.
In general the crops are good, although in some cases the lack of rain is evident, and the low temperatures at the beginning of the crop meant that they did not start as expected. In addition, some rain promoted the entry of mildew, especially in tomato groves.
Now it will be our job to extract all this winter and summer seed to be able to market it. The work of the volunteers is also very important here, as they help us a lot with this extraction, in addition to other things. That's why we encourage you to you volunteer. All help is welcome!
Thanks to FOGAIBA's help to promote the conservation, sustainable use and development of genetic resources in agriculture, we can continue multiplying organic and local variety seed.
